bridge21 sends money to bank accounts in Mexico at 7:30pm Mexico City time on banking days. We will send you an email with the expected delivery time of your transaction when you approve it.
If you pay by ACH bank transfer (transfers up to 3,000 USD)
Your money will arrive 4 banking days after you approve your transaction, with a daily cut-off of around 5:00pm Mexico City time each day. For example, if you approve your transaction on Monday before 5:00pm Mexico City time, your money will arrive at 7:30pm Mexico City time on Friday.
If you pay by US domestic wire transfer (transfers greater than 3,000 USD)
Your money will arrive one banking day after your wire is received. Wires sent in the morning are usually received the same day. This means your money will arrive in Mexico the next banking day on or before 7:30pm Mexico City time.
How to speed up your transaction
Send your transaction in the morning on banking days. This will increase the chances of the process starting the same day, and speed up the delivery of your money in Mexico. Transactions sent after 5pm Mexico City time, or on weekends and holidays will take longer to deliver.
Weekends and US banking holidays are not US banking days
Transactions approved on weekends and US banking holidays are not submitted until the next banking day. Please be aware that only weekdays count as "banking days". Also, banks in the US do not do business on certain US banking holidays, and these days will delay delivery of funds. Here is a common list of US banking holidays:
- New Year's Day - January 1
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day - Third Monday in January
- President's Day - Third Monday in February
- Memorial Day - Last Monday in May
- Independence Day - July 4
- Labor Day - First Monday in September
- Columbus Day - Second Monday in October
- Veterans Day - November 11
- Thanksgiving Day - 4th Thursday in November
- Christmas Eve - December 24
- Christmas Day - December 25
Less common reasons for delay
Occasionally, our compliance team may flag your transaction for manual review. This may delay the delivery of your money in Mexico. This is more common for newer accounts.
